RefreshFinasteride is used to treat men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and male pattern hair loss, also called androgenetic alopecia. BPH is caused by an enlarged prostate. Men with BPH usually have difficulty urinating, a decreased flow of urination, hesitation at the beginning of urination, and a need to get up at night to urinate. Finasteride will make these symptoms less severe and reduce the chance that prostate surgery will be needed. It may be used alone or in combination with other medicines such as an alpha-blocker to treat BPH. For men with hair loss, finasteride will increase the number of scalp hairs but will not increase the amount of body hair.
Finasteride blocks the action of an enzyme called 5-alpha-reductase. This enzyme changes testosterone to another hormone that causes the prostate to grow or hair loss in males. It will increase testosterone levels in the body, which decreases prostate size and increases hair growth on the scalp. The effect of finasteride on the prostate and scalp will only last as long as the medicine is taken. When it is stopped, the prostate begins to grow again and the hair will be lost.

I've been trying to get finasteride for years. It is an oral tablet taken daily to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia. The problem is, I have had side effects from the finasteride. I am wondering if it can be a side effect of this? I have been taking it for years and it is working as I expected. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
I have been on finasteride for many years now. It was originally intended to treat high blood pressure, but it got into the market after years of being associated with a lot of side effects. I started taking it several years ago when I was pregnant. However, the finasteride has had its problems and it was not doing much of anything for me. I was wondering if anyone else has had side effects from the finasteride. I have tried other oral medications and some supplements that have been effective. I've been taking it on a regular basis for years and have noticed no more side effects from the finasteride than I expected. Does anyone have experience with this?
I've been taking finasteride for many years. I started taking it when I was 12 years old and it worked out great for me. It's been helping me on a lot of my physical health problems. I've always been a happy and healthy person and it was my first time taking finasteride. I have never taken it and never have had any problems. It's been an uphill battle. I can't thank my lucky stars enough. The finasteride has been an incredibly effective solution for many years, and I would like to continue taking it even if I can't get the same results. The finasteride has been an uphill battle, but I've tried other options, such as Propecia or Tamsulosin. It is still working great and works just fine. I know it won't work the same as the finasteride, but it will. I have had some success with Propecia and I have found that the benefits of the drug outweigh the side effects. I know that the finasteride may not be as effective as the oral drug, but the finasteride has made me more satisfied with my life. I have had some success with Propecia and I have found it to be a game-changer for me. I am still on Propecia. I also know that there are some side effects associated with finasteride, so it is important to understand these. I can't say that I have a lot of success with Propecia, but it is an important part of my health. The finasteride works just fine, but the side effects are not the same for everyone. It is important to remember that finasteride does not work for everyone. I am a happy and healthy person and that is my goal. If you have any questions or experience any side effects you would be welcome to talk to your doctor. They may be able to provide you with a more effective alternative.
